Newbee from Norway, need some help.
Hi
I am from Norway and American cars have been a part of my life, for a long time.
Check out my website for more info about me and American cars in Northern Norway.
http://spirit-of-america.biz/
Today I have a 76 Buick Electra, who I bought on my vacation in the USA in 2005.
I and my friend were driving around with it for a month, and I shipped it home afterwards.
I am also restoring a 57 Oldsmobile.
My wife has a 66 Pontiac Bonneville convertible.

But one of the reasons, that I became a member here, is that I really need some help from you car guys from Estonia.
I have a really bad health, I have headache 24/7, and I am looking for a good not too expensive spa over there.

I have been searching on the web, but I couldn't really find anything.
I find some, but they were really expensive.
I don't want and don't need to live at any fancy hotel; I am just looking for a good spa that I really can afford.

If anyone could give me some advice about this, I really would have appreciated it.

Per Arne

You are Welcome!

Nice website you have there.

Maybe this link can help http://www.viroweb.ee/estonia/estonia.asp?ID=kylpylat&luokka=terveys

Sorry for not giving any suggestions cause haven't been in any of these places but heard that many people go to Haapsalu spas.

Are you sure, spa can cure this ? I would go to doctor first.

But to answer to your question, one nice reasonably priced spa is here. 1 week all inclusive little over €200, more or less the same what you pay for your pizza and coke back home.:)

Hi Madman and peep
And thanks for the answers.
This headace problem, have I had for over 10 years, was in Poland at a hospital-sanatorium for about 5 years ago, but the hospital does not exsist anymore.
I also have been amalgan quicksilver poisned, they fix my teeth when I was in poland.
They also cleaned my blood with EDTA.
I was actually without pain for 7 weeks after that.

Probably not as many as in Norway, but its getting more popular, as old US cars can be imported with resonable cost now (we had some restrictive taxes before joining EU) and people have more spare cash to burn. There are several meeting throughout the summer, the biggest one is American beauty Car Show, which takes place in Haapsalu in July. It's 3 day event, first 2 days is car show and rock concert in and around medievial castle and third day US car only dragrace on old soviet military airfield, which is located nearby. To give an idea, how it looks like you can view some pictures from organisers homepage. There is also information about future events.

HI
And thanks for the links. :-)
I have sent an email too Värska, to get more information.
I am thinking about staying for 3 weeks.
Is it allowed with stud tires (winter) in Estonia?

My 76 Buick really needs some paint, so I am thinking about taking it with me.
Does anybody here know someone who can do this job?
There is some rust under the vinyl roof, that needs welded and 2 small spots on the front fenders, it also will need a new vinyl roof.
I use to go too Poland, to get my cars painted.

Funny to see one car in completely different parts of the world!

Yes, it's allowed to use studded tires in winter, actually it's kind of mandatory here to use either studded or true winter tires.

A bit more on the spas, in addition to the Värska Spa you might want to check out the spas in Kuressaare, Saaremaa (the biggest island in Estonia) - Georg Ots Spa and Grand Rose Spa. I haven't been to either one of them myself, but my female colleagues and parents-in-law have all been quite charmed. Both of them are probably more expensive than the spa in Värska. I think there are flights to Kuressaare from both, Stockholm and Helsinki, should you consider traveling without your own car...

Hi blue stang
Not really, but it costs more than 1100 eek an hour at the paint shops here in Norway.
Since I have to go too the bank and borrow money for this trip anyway, its perfect to both things at the same time.
It’s perfect to get paint on my car for a reasonable price, when I have to travel out of Norway anyway, and to go to a sanatorium, that I can afford.
To restore my Buick in Poland will be about 37000 EEK and Norway about 93000 EEK.
Yea, the restoring prices in Norway, can easily give me headache.;-))))

No problem. ;-)
I am just telling you the facts.
But I think it would have been easier to go to Estonia.
There are very few people speaking English in Poland

What exactly does this price include? I suppose it's a bit different when you're looking at show quality, but just the pre-work, priming and painting of a normal car should fall into the 25K range around here.

Hi
I had a 63 Impala SS i Poland 2 years ago.
They welded in new rear fenders, new door skins, lower part of front fenders and a lot of other things.
I paid 27300 EEK.
Here some pictures before and after.

Whichever sanatorium you choose, main thing is that it would help you to get rid of that headache of yours.
Take care.
